    Folding Instructions

    • 1). With the colored side down, fold the paper in half to form a rectangle and unfold so there is a crease down the middle.

    • 2). Flip the paper over and arrange it so that the crease runs vertically down the page. Fold the top two corners down to meet the center crease, forming a triangle at the top of the page. Flip the paper over, keeping the triangle at the top.

    • 3). Fold down the left side of the triangle to meet the middle crease, as if you were folding it again to make a paper airplane. Unfold the flap at the back, the one that you folded over in the previous step.

    • 4). Fold down the right side of the triangle made in step 2 to meet the center crease and unfold the flap underneath, just like you did for the other side in step 3. You should now have a diamond shape at the top and a triangle at the bottom.

    • 5). Fold the 2 small triangle shaped flaps at the bottom of the page so that they are tucked in between the back of the paper and the front layer that you folded over in Steps 3 & 4.

    • 6). Bring the top tip of the diamond down to meet the bottom corner of the diamond, forming a triangle at the top of the page.

    • 7). Fold the top layer of the triangle (that you formed in step 6), in half so that you are bringing the tip up and forming a horizontal crease across the middle.

    • 8). Fold up the bottom corners to meet the center crease. The bottom edge will be laying along the center crease, which will form another diamond shape.

    • 9). Fold the tip of the triangles that you formed in the previous step down so that the edge that was laying against the crease is now laying horizontally. Flip the turtle over and re-enforce the center crease so that the turtle stands up a little. Presto your done!
