• While the Tiffany calls itself a motel, it is a large facility that most would consider a hotel. Located a few feet from the shore on Topsail Island, the Tiffany is a mile from Snead's Ferry. Family owned and operated, the motel offers seasonal rates with numerous "off season" specials available. Popular with return-guests, the hotel features two swimming pools, a sundeck, hot tub and an attractive covered deck to watch the sunrise. Basic rooms at the Tiffany have a single double bed with the standard room featuring two queens. In addition, the hotel has several suites with two-bedrooms and full kitchens.

• Located just five miles from Snead's Ferry in Surf City, the SeaScape Motel is a surviving example of the small motor courts that grew in popularity after World War II. Painted a brilliant yellow with each room's door a brilliant complementary shade, the SeaScape is just a few hundred feet from the Atlantic on the east and the quiet currents of Water's Bay to the west.
