How to Make a Puppy Pinata Made of Diapers, Socks, Blankets, Etc. for a Baby
- 1). Make a diaper cake for the piñata in an 8-inch round cake pan. Fill the sides of the cake pan with diapers and fill the middle 3 inches of the pan with baby items, such as pacifiers, baby socks, rolled baby bibs and a rattle. Wrap an elastic band around the diapers and transfer the diapers onto a plastic cake tray carefully.
- 2). Fold a baby blanket lengthwise and wrap it around the diaper cake. Pin the ends closed with two or three safety pins.
- 3). Make another diaper cake in a 6-inch round cake pan. Roll up a baby blanket around a baby bottle and place it in the center of the pan. Wrap diapers around the blanket until the pan is full. The wrapped blanket should protrude above the diapers by at least 6 to 8 inches. Fold another blanket and wrap it around the cake.
- 4). Cover two cake dowels with baby booties and place these in front of the 8-inch cake on the cake tray. Insert two plastic dowels into the 8-inch cake, just behind the dowels. Lower the 6-inch cake onto the four dowels.
- 5). Pull a section of the blanket outward to shape a nose for the puppy. Roll up a baby towel and wrap an elastic band around the center of the towel. Pin the towel to the top of the rolled baby blanket to make the ears for the puppy. Use a tiny bit of craft glue to attach to black felt circles above the nose to make the eyes.
- 6). Cover the top of the exposed areas of the cake tiers with shaggy fabric to look like fur.
