Death is one not only t the most feared thing but it is also very stressing especially when it happened to our relative and those who we hold dear to. However, there is more meaning and attachment to the death than most of use think.  In looking at death, we should have a more deep understanding and insight about life. Therefore understanding the basic understanding between death and the principle of dual existence gives us a deeper meaning about the last minute decision before death.  In this paper we are going to review the thought of four philosophers who had made their contribution their experience in understanding of the last minute decision on death.

The philosophical basis for the hypotheses of the final decision

In the life of a man, there is the urge to get more than they can achieve. In all the actions of a man, there is that send of getting more beyond their ability. Man always wills to get more than they can attain.  This will of man to get more than they would attain in life means that they are not able to escape from this trap. Man can only find rest once their will have been fulfilled. This means that it is only when the will of man for a determinate object fully absorbs the full intensity of the elemental drive of his will.

This clearly illustrate that at a death, man has more wishes than they have fulfilled in their life. Death provides a break from man or an eternal rest from their daily wishes. The meaning of death in this case would not mean the separation of man from their loved ones but is a more of separation from their will.

On one of the most important characteristic of man and perhaps the basis of their religion nature is reverence for a greater being. This means the man regard God as superior and it is a fact that all men would wish to call God.  If God stand at every path that man travels, then it is clear that there is that fact for the man to wish to be like God or to be near God to experience the life about.  Therefore while man may not want to be separated from their wills in life, they may want to be like God and to reach Him. This is another will of man that is fulfilled at death.

Man inquisitive nature has not given any answer as to who God is or where God can be found. However the religious nature of man assumes that it is only through death than man can become one with God.  Therefore it is only through the act of death that man can catch up with himself and with God perhaps fulfills their wishes in life. The projection of life after death   which is full of happiness and without trouble makes death a fulfillment of mans eternal desire.

Man has always being on race to overtake God. This can perhaps explain why scientists are working hard to prove the religious concept of existence of a greater being. In our activity, we are always pursuing something in a bid to overtake God. Therefore we have to movement in our existence including our drive to overtake God and our conscious realization. At some point in life they are in mutual pursuit and their existence is contained in our needs. The point at which these existence meets is the point where we feel we have fulfilled our needs in life.  This point can however never be reached except in death. This means that our existence attains a new identity in our life

Death is a position at which we fulfill our wills. At death we can make our own wishes that perhaps were not fulfilled when we were alive.  When person is dying, they tend to make their will what they would like to be fulfilled. This means that at death all our wishes are not fulfilled.

In human life, there is more inquisitive nature that we tend to engage in to gain knowledge. Death also comes as a fulfillment of knowing. Man knowledge is more on understanding the world but it is also beyond the basic premise of existence of life in the world. Man inquisitive nature has driven us to look for more knowledge about God. In regard to our knowledge about universe and God we understand that our reason may know more than it can actually perceive.

Man is constantly inquiring about the existence of God. However this search is blind if to be specific since God is never imaged or never presented.  God is not seen and never line in with our vision.  At some point, man denies God in his conscious cat of reason. Man drive to know God more is in deed as a result of the inquisitive nature but man never some to understand the full understanding of God.

However our understanding cannot grasp the true meaning of nature of God. This keeps us in search of more knowledge to understand God and the universe. Despite our inquisitive nature, we never come to term with the full knowledge of the existence of God. It is possible that we come to our first integral act of knowing at our moment of death when our mind gets freed from our material attachment and possession.  This is the time when our thinking and understating of God and universe is detached and devoid of our material possession

Therefore it is through the act of death that human mind prepare for an act of knowledge that is performed and integration self-presence of the mind. This is the state and which our mind is immerse in the absolute and become to a state of being. It is the time we acquire knowledge as described by Plato that it is remembering the times contemplation which is exercise in the pre-existence state. Therefore death raises our being to another pre-existent state at which we can understand more about nature of existence.

Death is actually a fundamental aspect of concrete, living existence.  This can be evidence by the percent of essential dualism in all our perception. Our perception is however practiced in a circumscribed way which his all what we can act in our life. However this is dictated by the actions we undertake in our daily life, the needed to adapt to our environment, and man others which at the end presents use with pieces of the whole and we never understand everything in our environment.

In order to attain intellectual knowledge, it is important that our mind relaxes and abandon our normal worries and activities.  Our mind must be turned away from our life and content more on what we want to underhand. The attention that we tend to pay in life distracts us from achieving full intellectual knowledge. Therefore at the point of our death we tend to switch away from our dial life and at it is the time we can take our perception into full practice.
