Gummy Candy

• Gummy candies are soft sweet flavored candies that you chew on. The most popular shape is the gummy bear. However, some manufacturers also produce gummy worms or gummy rings. Sometimes the rings are coated with sour crystals to give the candy a sweet and sour flavor.
  
  

Chocolate

• Chocolate candies can come in bar or piece form. Bar chocolates vary from the pure chocolate of Hershey's bars to the chocolate candy bars that are filled with some other ingredient. For examples Snickers bars are filled with peanuts or almonds, as well as caramel and nougat.
  
  There are also a variety of chocolate candy pieces. Plain M&Ms, small chocolate pieces coated in colorful candy shells, are present in almost every movie concession stand. Now there is a whole expanded product line of M&Ms where peanuts, almonds, peanut butter and even coconut are covered in chocolate and a thin candy coating.
  
  

Hard Cardy

• Solid candies sold at movie theater concession stands include Life Savers, Jolly Ranchers and lollipops. These candies are very hard and are usually consumed by sucking on them over time. Sweethearts and Pez are also classified as hard candies, however they are chewable from the moment you first open them. Sweethearts are round little button-sized chewable hard candies. Pez are rectangular chewable candies that you can fill into plastic collectible dispensers or eat out of the bag.
  
  

Licorice

• Licorice are soft candies flavored by extract from the licorice plant. Licorice candy in its regular form is black. Over time it has become popular to add cherry or strawberry flavoring and color it red. At concession stands, it is common to see Red Vines licorice or Twizzlers, which is not strictly licorice, but a similar tasting fruit flavored chewy candy.
  
  

Sours

• Sours come in the form of candies that have the sour elements mixed directly with the sugar during creation or they are sweet candies covered in sour crystals. Warheads are sour candies that are manufactured with the sour elements malic acid and citric acid mixed in during production. The result is a sour candy that looks like any small jelly bean or jaw breaker. Sour Patch Kid candies are also sold at concession stands. These are soft candies that are coated with sour crystals.
