    Crochet

    • 1). Crochet the last line of crochet stitches on the end of the scarf.

    • 2). Chain one stitch and thread the hook through the second-to-last hole on the scarf edge. Pull the loop through and chain one more stitch.

    • 3). Push the hook through the last hole on the end of the scarf and pull the loop through.

    • 4). Trim the edge of the yarn with scissors. Remove the hook from the yarn. Pull the thread all the way through the hole to anchor the line of stitches.

    Knitting

    • 1). Knit the last line of stitches that you want to knit. Make sure you have a tail of yarn at least 20-inches long at the end of the line.

    • 2). Knit two stitches onto the hook in your right hand.

    • 3). Pull the second stitch over the first stitch using the left-hand needle, leaving the first stitch remaining on the right needle.

    • 4). Repeat the process until you reach the end of the row.

    • 5). Pull the loose end of the thread through the last stitch on the right hook, and pull it all the way through to tighten the yarn and prevent it from unraveling.
