When trying to gain a healthier, stronger body, it is important to take a day off so that your body can revitalize itself.
Overwork may seem like a sign of determination, but in the end you are hurting yourself more than helping.
Did you know that working out can help you feel less stressed and leads to your getting a good night's rest too? To get this benefits; however, you must be committed.
So what is this one week, but really six day workout plan? It is important to remember that exercise is much more beneficial if you enjoy it.
It is much easier to get into a habit when it is something you enjoy.
There are exercises for all personality types, and it is up to you to find yours.
Here is an example of activities you can include in your weekly workout plan.
Feel free to mix and match and add and erase to your liking.
Day 1 Since it is Monday, and no one likes Mondays, I don't suggest putting your most grueling workout on this day.
Some of them may be cheesy, but workout videos are a fun way to get in shape and enjoy your self at the same time.
There is a huge variety of these videos, ranging from dance to boxing to stripping.
Amazon dot com carries an abundance of workout videos.
Each one has a long list of reviews on it, so you can read and see if it seems like the right video for you.
Days 2 and 3 So you have gotten over your case of the Mondays, and now you're ready to turn up the heat a little.
One type of exercise that is largely underestimated is swimming.
If you don't have a pool in your backyard, hopefully you can find one in your neighborhood, local recreation center or a nearby gym.
Don't be surprised if it only takes a few laps to hit the point of exhaustion at first, feel free to stop and take a break every two laps or so.
As you practice, you will find you can go longer without needing to take a breather.
Days 3 and 4 What is all this worth if you don't even get a nice body out of it? There are many ways to get a sleek physique, both at home and at the gym.
If you go to a gym, it is important to remember how weights work: less weight and more repetitions equals tone, and more weight with less repetitions equals bulk.
So decide what you are aiming for and choose your habits accordingly.
At home, you can do many exercises such as pushups, sit ups, wall sits and crunches to gain muscle tone.
Days 5 and 6 You may be thinking, "After working hard all week, it's time to wind down now, right?" Wrong.
Sorry.
The truth is that the end of the week is the best time to pull out all the stops.
The end is in sight, and you have a nice relaxing day of rest to look forward to, not to mention the weekend.
Use this motivation, turn it into adrenaline, and go running! This is good for all fitness levels, because you can run as short or as long as your body can take you.
It is also good to alternate between running and walking if you can't run for very long.
When putting in your own variations to create your very own one week, but really six day workout plan, there is one very important thing to remember.
To reap the benefits of all your hard work, such as less stress and more sleep, your heart rate must be elevated for thirty minutes a day six days a week.
So whatever you decide to do, make sure it lasts at least thirty minutes.
