There are things in life that started in bliss but unfortunately have to end in tears. That no matter how much efforts are being placed together to hold whatever there is to hold, an unalterable end becomes inevitable because of irreparable conflicts. Relationships, business and personal, are candidate venues of conflicts that may get way out of hand. And any conflict that might end in separation could potentially leave anyone hopeless, helpless and wasted.

The unfortunate consequence of conflict does not end in emotional turmoil, because some could drag even to court where legal proceedings are called for to address any legal issues that are inherent in your relationships. Sometimes, the weight becomes unbearable and the pressure becomes overwhelming that could literally destroy a lesser man.

Familial disputes that end in ugly separation such as divorce could have impact far beyond comprehension; impact that the judicial system is incapable of addressing. Judges and justices could only efficiently look at the judicial implication of a particular case but never the emotional and psychological outcome. Mediation therefore is becoming popular as it is by far the most practical method that could closely provide the right combinations in addressing familial conflicts.

When two married individuals are facing imminent dissolution of their marriage, having to go through the divorce legal procedure is like rubbing a grain of salt in a bleeding wound. This means that they will have to live through an agonizing moments of reflection of the failure they have collectively made in their relationship. Judicial proceeding, important as it is, could further the gravity of hurt that each conflicting parties feel for each other.

Divorce encompasses extensive issues that need resolving along with the marital concerns of the individuals. Matters like child support and custody will have to be thoroughly discussed to avoid further conflicts in days to come. Assets and any financial issues will have to be dealt with as well, usually halving the assets and liabilities. Moreover, hundreds of other smaller things will have to be addressed. Imagine going through this in the middle of your personal turmoil brought about by the reality of divorce. The unfortunate thing is, when the court appoints a mediator to deal with your case, you will be strictly constrained by time that you cannot practically come up with the best decisions because you are not provided with the best options in the first place. The court could only afford for an hour for you to wrap things up during a mediation process, and it is practically impossible.

Therefore, it is only wise on your part to avail the services of an independent mediator who could take good care of your interests. It may come with a cost but it is a worthy cost. The liberty of time that an independent mediator offers is an opportunity for both parties to meet halfway with their agreements and ensure that both walk away satisfied.
